Who funds us
With the recent success in sustaining a three year contract with joint commissioning through the Nottingham City Council and Nottingham City Clinical Commissioning group has enabled Action for Young Carers to plan for the future therefore invest more time in identifying and supporting young carers living within Nottingham City.
Who we work with
During the years we have continue to build and establish good relationships with local charities such as the rotary club who have continued to generously donate into the service, not forgetting the relationships we have built with local supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s and The Cooperative both supermarkets have given very generously in providing activities for young carers accessing the service.
Our future plans
Action for Young Carers aim over the next three years is to be able to identify and offer as much support to young carers within the city as possible be it through 1-1 support group work or activities. We will continue to link into local services alongside schools to ensure all professionals are aware of young carers and the support they require whilst undertaking tasks that can have a significant impact on their own day to day lives.
