The St John Ambulance carers support programme will give unpaid carers, caring for a relative, friend or young person who is frail, ill or disabled the first aid skills needed to look after someone. All of their training is delivered by dedicated and experienced trainers; leaving those trained with confidence to do the right thing in an emergency.
The next First Aid Course for unpaid carers will be delivered here at the Carers Federation, Christopher Cargill House, 21-23 Pelham Road, Nottingham, NG5 1AP on Tuesday 31st January 2017 from 10am – 2:30pm and will cover the following modules:
- Communication and casualty care
- Primary survey
- Unconscious casualty management
- role of first aider
- Making emergency phone calls
- Chest pain/angina
- Bleeding, burns and chocking
