Many young carers are under considerable pressure and often don’t have time to seek out the support and guidance that could make a real difference to their lives.
The Young Carers Transitions Project has developed a life skills programmes for young carers aged 15-19.
We can offer you one to one mentoring support and access to life-skills group workshos so that you can develop your skills and confidence to make decisions about your future and become more independent.
You can explore issues around health and well-being, relationships, communication and decision making, education, training and employment, etc. We can also offer advice and signposting to other services and opportunities and support you to access these opportunities.
We provide a safe and confidential space to discuss concerns and worries, and to explore and work towards the things that young carers identify as important to them, setting realistic and achievable goals as well as the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.
