We are all affected by health and social care – and the education that goes into these services – whether we work in them or use them.
It surely makes sense, then, that each one of us should have a hand in shaping the way our services are developed and delivered.
This is where Involvement comes in.
It is a government-led plan to harness the experience and life-skills of the entire community in order to create services that are truly public-led and truly person-centred.
Involvement makes sense because involvement means improvement. It follows that your passion and commitment is needed. Many people are already involved. Others may say: ‘I like the idea, but how on earth would I go about it?’
And that's where More Power to You comes in.
Put simply, 'More Power to You' is a straightforward tool-kit to help you get involved. It's a selection of training packs from which you can pick as much – or as little – as you like. Your involvement is valued, however much, or however little time you can give to it.
