Mentoring For Offenders
The Carers Federation Mentoring Project supports offenders across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire on their release from prison by providing one to one and group mentoring.
This through the gate support provides help during this transitional and often challenging period and is based on individual need.
Mentors can provide:
• Practical resettlement support.
• Information and advocacy.
• Supported/ accompanied visits.
• On- going emotional support.
• Referrals to specialist services/agencies.
Mentors can help work with the mentee on the following areas:
• Housing/ accommodation.
• Financial benefits.
• Building family relationships.
• Health- registering GP.
• Employment/ Education/ Training.
